About Château Guillebot Plaisance
The 2 Château, Guillebot Plaisance and Motte Maucourt are owned by VILLENEUVE Familly from 6 generations.
The vineyards operates 50 ha of vines and are divided into 15 ha for the production of white wines and 35 ha for the production of red wines. The average age of the vines is 25 years. The soils are varied from silty for the production of white to clay and clay-limestone for red wines.
Our vineyard is located in the heart of a region between Garonne and Dordogne, the Entre-Deux-Mers region. We take advantage of our excellent terroir that allows good exposure for the production of quality wines.
Château Motte Maucourt owes its name to a feudal mound located in the middle of the vineyard. This medieval site has been the subject of archaeological research to understand construction and interest. In conclusion, it was used to monitor communications routes to prevent different castles in the region.
