Amarone is a full-bodied ruby red with garnet highlights. Best quality hand harvested from Valpolicella classico are used to make this great wines.

Drying of selected harvests on trellises and ageing in French oak casks for 30 months make it “il Vino degli Del”(wine for the gods). It’s bouquet is intense and persistent. Scents of flowers, cherry, almond and hazel-nut. Paired with meat, sweet sour dishes and aged cheese.

“Campedel” Amarone is the pearl of the GAMBA winery. Tradition and passion are the key to success of this intense and full-bodied wine, which comes from the soft pressing of carefully selected grapes and left to dry in wooden trays for four months.

Winemaking

The grapes pressing takes place in February and lasts for about 30 days.

The fermentation temperature ranges from 20 to 25 degrees C. Aging of Amarone Campedel takes place first for about six months in steel barrels and then for 30 months in French oak barrels with a capacity of 225L.
