Marigny is one of the quality labels from De Mour, a negociant firm owned by De Schepper family. Marigny produce good quality and affordable wine which express their terroir and committed to sustainable cultivation with combination of modern techniques.
Located on the slopes of the Hérault Valley near Pézenas in Languedoc, the grapes benefits from warm temperatures (moderated by the sea breeze from Mediterranean seas), cooling the grapes and slow down ripening process, enhancing their colour and wine’s aromatic quality while the rich stony clay from the Hérault plain gives its rich taste and roundness.
The vines are grown in primarily limestone and clay-limestone soil. Harvesting is partially mechanical and hand picked. Vinification is done for 6 hours at low temperature at 18° for 3 weeks, matured in stainless steels vats for 3 months before bottling.
