Introducing the Crisera Nerone di Calabria IGT Calabria 2014
Deep ruby color, intense aromas of black berries, coffee, leather, spices and tobacco. Viscose texture, full bodied, elegant, and dense tannins yet warm, soft and burst with minerality on the palate. Paired well with red meat, grill, spicy dishes, cured meat and hard cheeses. Best served at 15°C.
Situated on steep and sunny Calabrian hills, above 600 – 800 m sea level. Grapes are harvested late to obtain maximum aromatic concentration. Grapes undergo traditional vinification and oak barrels maturation.
Casa Vinicola CRISERÀ is a family-owned winery that is placed in Catona in the province of Reggio Calabria, southern part of Italy.
The winery was established in 1957 and has a long winemaking tradition and that has been handing down from generation to generation.
CRISERÀ produces award winning wines from high quality local indigenous grapes that are grown on cliffs next to the sea. All grapes are carefully hand-picked at harvest and transported by donkeys. The wines are made by master winemakers and fermented in barrels to perfection.
