Don Jacobo was founded in 1898 after the Carlist war by Saturnino Daroca, grower and winemaker. His daughter married Don Martin Corral who contributed his name and family crest to the winery. Originally known as ‘Bodegas Corral’, they are situated in the heart of La Rioja, a few minutes from Logrono.
In the fifties, Bodega spread into new markets and in 1974, new cellars were built in Navarrete, situated on the original pilgrims route known as “Ruta Jacobea”, where “Don Jacobo” brand name drives from.
